Early Contractor
Involvement & Buildability Consultations
We are big advocates for the power of early contractor involvement on all of our projects. This is especially useful for mass timber projects, but we believe every project would ultimately benefit from what is a relatively small additional up-front investment in its success.
Our ECI offering includes feasibility analysis, value engineering and consultant procurement and management, amongst a host of other value-adds that can have a positive impact on a project’s budget or result, particularly costs and building performance.
In addition, we also offer Buildability Consultations to support the conversion of projects to mass timber, and general building input to design or the early stages of a project.
We are able to collaborate with external Architects and Designers as well as the Brother Nature Design team.
Build
Our building style is a little bit different to most. We prefer to work with what we believe is the best available construction methodology on the plant, mass timber or Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). This methodology results in high performing buildings that have both a low embodied energy and low operational energy. Ideal for the Canberra and ACT climate, and anyone who cares about their environmental footprint! We are also a passive house builder.
Regardless of methodology, we are meticulous about doing things properly and our team have a high level of technical capability in their respective fields.
